Hi. My name is Veronica LePinske and I am the founder of A Cook’s Canvas.
I’m a freelance professional food photographer and writer based in Chicago with several years of experience in food, still life, real life and location/travel photography. My camera is merely a tool, it is the lens of my experience and perspective that captures the emotion and beauty that surrounds me; my passion for photographing people, places and food brings vibrance and clarity to each and every one of my photos.
I started A Cook’s Canvas while living in southern Germany for over 4 years where I immersed myself in European cuisine. I’ve always had a passion for cooking, photography and food, secretly wanting to be a chef.
My past clients have included professional chefs (portrait / in-action), restaurants, wine, cheese and spirit companies, cookware and kitchen products manufacturers and large events such as Michelin Star, the Cystic Fibrosis foundation’s annual Grand Chefs Gala, Bon Appetit magazine’s Chicago Gourmet and Grand Cru events, the annual Food Network in Concert at Ravinia, and I’ve covered the grand opening and special events at Mario Batali’s Eataly Chicago, as well as covering chefs and menus of countless fine dining restaurants worldwide.
All of the content on this website; the images, recipes and writing is original content unless otherwise noted. All content is under copyright and may not be used without permission. Please email if you are interested in using anything, I’m generally happy to oblige.
I’m available for freelance work. No project is too big or too small. If you’re interested in working together, feel free to send me an email at acookscanvas@gmail.com.
